Friday Night Lights (1)
I know this title sounds like I should be writing from small-town Texas, but this is the next best thing in urban southern California: Norco, a horse-oriented town in which the best thing to do on Friday night is to go the high school football game. Tonight Norco high school takes on a team visiting from Arizona on Gary Campbell field, named after the iconic coach whose son Steve is now coaching the Black Hawks from Gilbert, Arizona. This is a legendary football family --responsible for three state championships. Some state powerhouse teams playing tonight include San Fernando at Mission Hills Alemany, La Puente Bishop Amat at Santa Ana Mater Dei, and Corona del Mar at J Serra. If the Rams or Chargers slack in 2018, this could be the best football entertainmnet in Socal. Let's see what happens with the Trojans and Bruins, too.
