END OF REPUBLICAN PARTY?

Political analysists and players on left, right and middle are observing the death of the Republican Party after the Senate failed to convict Trump as part of the Impeachment process in February, 2021. Is this true? Actually, the maga hardcore followers of Trump who espouse Trumpism will remain on the rolls of the GOP at the same time that there is a massive exodus of traditional, longtime Republicans who are horrified by Trumps conduct as President 2016-2020. The failure of the Republicans in Congress to respond to the Jan 6 riot and the Feb 12 vote to convict will leave the disaffected traditional (centrist) Republicans disaffected for life. Republican Party voters will hover around 20% of voters for next 15-20 years.
